Description

Stunning set of country house prints signed by G. D. Giles. The scenes in these prints are of The Eglinton Hunt of 1909 featuring Craigie castle, Eglinton Castle, Balsarroch and Adam Hill housed in beautiful rosewood with carved Gilted edging. The frames have such beautiful graining and are an amazing colour and will suit any property new or old and are in excellent condition. The scenery in the prints are stunning and the artist has really captured the excitement of the hunt. These fabulous prints really do give you a glint into a time gone by.

The Eglinton & Caledon Hunt began as an offshoot of the Toronto Hunt.

G.D. Giles aka Godfrey Douglas Giles (9 November 1857 – 1 February 1941) was a painter of horses, military scenes and battles, many experienced first hand while on service with the British Army in India, Afghanistan, Egypt and South Africa. He produced numerous caricatures for the magazine Vanity Fair
