Description

A lovely early to mid 19th century German porcelain pipe bowl beautifully painted with the image of a partially naked maiden looking down, somewhat forlorn.
Inside the bowl is an underglaze blue factory mark and there are also faint blue marks to the stem end of the pipe.
In good condition with no chips or cracks, only surface and gilding wear commensurate with age and handling.
