A Queen Anne style burr walnut occasional table dating from the 1920s, beautifully made and rich in period character.

The table features a wonderfully figured circular burr walnut top with exceptional depth and warmth of colour, framed by an attractively shaped pie-crust moulded edge with finely carved detailing. The dramatic figuring to the walnut creates a striking focal point, making this an especially eye-catching piece.

Raised on elegant cabriole legs, the table is richly carved with acanthus and foliate decoration to the knees and terminates in well-executed ball and claw feet, giving the piece a strong Georgian revival character in the Queen Anne taste.
