A fine quality Victorian walnut quartetto nest of tables dating to circa 1880, beautifully crafted and elegant in both proportion and design. This charming set of four graduated tables is constructed in richly figured walnut, each top displaying striking grain patterns framed with delicate crossbanding and subtle ebonised line inlay.

The tables are raised on slender, turned supports united by shaped stretchers, terminating in elegant splayed feet, giving the set a light and refined appearance while maintaining excellent stability. The craftsmanship is evident throughout, with well-balanced proportions and smooth action when nesting together.

Quartetto tables were highly fashionable in the late 19th century, offering versatility and practicality within the drawing room. This set is ideal for use as occasional tables, lamp tables, or for entertaining, easily separated when needed and neatly stored when not in use.
