Description

A fine late Victorian mahogany kneehole pedestal desk, dating from around 1880, of small proportions. The desk is fitted with a tooled black leather writing surface, bordered with delicate gilt tooling, offering both practicality and period character.

The configuration comprises a central kneehole flanked by two pedestal bases, each fitted with a graduated arrangement of drawers, all retaining their original turned mahogany knobs. A full-width central drawer sits above the kneehole, providing additional storage. The desk stands on castors, allowing for ease of movement.
