Victorian Tunbridge Ware Pin Cushion Box.This is a stunning antique pin cushion box of good proportions in stunning Rosewood and mixed woods.
Dates Circa.1860's.
The stand is typical Tunbridge Ware with a mosaic effect tesserae.
A stunning array of flowers and geometric forms with bands of stunning flowers and various very fine detail.
The main body is veneered in Rosewood.
Original green material to lid, it lifts out to reveal a open storage area. Original paper to back of lid and inside box with some small loses to edges.
Excellent polish and no loses to Tunbridge Ware or any timbers can be seen in superb well maintained condition.
This stand is attributed to the world famous Henry Hollamby / Thomas Barton made in his workshops in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
