Description

Victorian Tunbridge Ware Inkwell Stand.

This is an inkwell stand in Rosewood and mixed woods.

C.1880's.

The stand is typical Tunbridge Ware with a mosaic effect tesserae.

A stunning array of flowers and geometric forms with bands of stunning flowers and various very fine details.

The main body is veneered in Rosewood.

A single original inkwell pot with hinged flip back lid in very good condition.

There is a pen rest at rear with a later dip pen. Comes with 3 new nibs in medium size.

Sits on 4 turned feet.

Excellent polish and no losses to Tunbridge Ware or any timbers can be seen in superb well maintained condition.

This stand is attributed to the world-famous Henry Hollamby / Thomas Barton made in his workshops in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

Items posted - Buyers have 14 days from receipt of an item to return it for refund, you must contact me within the 14 day period. A refund for the cost of the item will only be offered if the item is returned in its original condition and in the original packaging. Buyer will be responsible for return postage costs which will not be reimbursed by the seller.

Overseas buyers may be liable for customs payments which is out of our hands, this will be down to the buyer to pay this and is not our liability. If item is returned due to non payment of any taxes, the postage costs will not be returned to the buyer.
