Description

An unusual example of a large pine naval chest with oak scumble paint finish to resemble oak and iron strap work. To the top sits a brass plaque engraved 'John Stone, Outfitters, Portsea - C. J. Bolton RN'. John Stone was a naval outfitter supplying naval uniforms in Portsmouth to the Royal Navy during the mid 19th century
