ROB HALL ANTIQUESFaded elegance. Removed this week from a large country house in Yorkshire, an early 20th century drop end sofa, handpainted one strike off silk screen print on silk velvet. The colours remain very vivid on the original fabric. There is wear and fraying and there have been repairs consistent with use in a large country house.
The rear castors have long since been removed, so the sofa reclines at more of an angle.
Pure country house chic. And whilst we say faded elegance, the beauty of this sofa is that the colours haven't faded.
A true English country house piece.
