17th Century Oak Chair Of Excellent Colour

Description
A very sturdy late 17th c oak chair of fabulous colour and patination. Dating to around 1680 the period carving to the back the splats is a rather pleasing feature. The loss to the crest is historic - judging by the rather pleasing wear in that area, probably within the first fifty years of life of the chair. The central splat is long since missing.The colour in the chair is very good and it remains a rather lovely example of a chair of the period.
