Small Primitive 19th Century Stool Dated 1876

A small stool 19th century with initials and date written around the chamfered edge slab top and the words ‘born 3rd May 1876’ - so probably a present for a new born baby, possibly made by, as with these primitive folk art pieces, a father for his daughter. Standing just 10cm tall this little stool has lots of charm and appeal.1876
