This is without doubt a very fine example of a George III sycamore candle box. The colour and patination are rich and warm and can only be described as being of the first order. The chamfered-edged sliding front has an obelisk inlaid to the front. It is quite simply a truly exquisite candle box.Measuring 17” high, 5” deep and 6 1/2” wide
