Description

These handsome Chinese cinnabar vases have stunning detail worked in deep relief to the red cinnabar lacquer.
The vases date from around 1890 but are modelled in the earlier 18th century style with a square section baluster form raised on their solid mahogany stands.
The pair both have panels to the centre with Chinese figures in beautiful landscape surrounded by trees and mountains. The swept tapering bases and necks of the vases have panels with diamond shaped floral detail highlighted by scrolling stylised foliage.
These are in really nice original condition and are a good size measuring 28 cms high on the stands (25 vase only)
The vases are 10 cms square at the widest point and the mahogany bases measure 10 cms square.
