This is a good quality, rare Olympic Queen size brass bed dating from the Victorian era circa 1870. The bed is a very rare size, possibly bespoke made, as it is larger than a standard king size, being 220 long by 170 cms wide overall.
The bed is in solid brass which has a good antique colour and nice patina throughout. It is complete with its original brass castors that are in very good condition and comes with its original tight fitting side irons as well as a good timber framed, upholstered base so you would simply require the mattress.
The bed measures 145 cms high at the headboard,122 cms high at the base and is 220 cms long overall. The upholstered base measures 168 cms by 200 cms. This would take an expanded Queen size mattress or an ikea king size mattress would fit upon the base as they are 200 cms by 160 cms.
