This is a most unusual Sestral deadbeat compass in solid brass by the renowned company Henry Brown and Sons Ltd, which dates from around 1890. The instrument has a distinctive 'wide mouth frog' style to the curved brass case and the compass is stamped "The Sestral Compass" trade mark " Dead beat compass" Henry Brown and Sons No. 8497 Barking + London" This is in good working order and is a great decorative piece measuring 28 cms wide 22 cms deep by 22 cms in height.UK insured delivery costs £20
