Description
This is a lovely Victorian burr elm inlaid jewellery box. The lid and 3 sides have a chevron designed inlaid stringing. The edges are chamfered with boxwood stringing. The interior is lined in a teal suede. The shape of the box is reminiscent of the violin shaped spa boxes of the mid 18th century. It is a lovely shape.This box is in excellent condition with a beautiful burr elm veneer. This would make a lovely gift.
