Silver Telescopic Cup / Beaker in Case - 1864

Description

A fine example of a solid silver pocket or campaign cup in superb condition without any damage and fully hallmarked for London 1864 together with the makers mark for Alexander Macrae and the highly sought-after Queen Victoria's head duty mark.

The beaker is beautiifully decorated with engine turning with a vacant circular cartouche to the front and a gilded interior.

The cup comes with it's original leather case lined in velvet.

A good size and weight, weighing 121 Grams / 3.89 Troy Ounces. Excellent condition with minor wear commensurate with age and use. A good early example, Victorian in era.

The beaker opened measures 2 1/2" in diameter x 3" tall. The case measures 2 3/4" in diameter x 1 3/8".
