Description

This example is rather special made from cast English brass standing on four original spherical feet and signed by the well renowned manufacturer, Townsend and Co.

What makes this one highly sought-after and collectible is the cast musical theme in the form of various instruments to the centre of the pierce or reticulated front panel, crowned with a wonderful bow motif to the top. The stand's angle can of course be adjusted and even lays flat.

Quite wonderful, in excellent condition, the front panel measuring 9 1/2" wide x 10" tall to top of bow x 2 1/2" tall while folded down. The small book shown (for photographic purposes only) measures 6 1/2" x 5" when closed. Victorian in era, dating to around 1880.
