A handsome and fine quality Edwardian mahogany writing table in the Chippendale manner. The table has an inset leather scriber and rosette carved edge to the top, above a Vitruvian scroll carved frieze and an arrangement of seven mahogany lined drawers of good depth and with brass ‘swan neck’ handles, and is raised on elegant cabriole legs with acanthus carved knees and ball-and-claw feet.
This writing table is finished to the rear allowing it to free-stand in a room.

Condition & Details of Restoration:
This item is in excellent original structural condition. The polish has been revived, by our own restorers, by hand in the traditional manner. The leather inset has been replaced (prior to our ownership) with a good quality leather. It bears some marks of use, and some marks which were added deliberately to give the appearance of age. There are minor old marks under the polish in our opinion the photographs are representative.
