Description
We have for sale a pair of Victorian Royal Crown Derby side plated dating to 1899.This attractive pair of Royal Crown Derby side plates are decorated with Imari colours of cobalt blue, iron red and gilt in the Melton pattern. The plates carry impressed date marks and date ciphers for 1899 along with auction labels for Sotheby's dated the 1 October 1994.
The plates are 6 inches (15cm) in diameter and are in a good to very good antique condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. However, there is some loss of gilt to the rims, particularly so in one plate.
