Description

We have for sale a very attractive mid 19th to late 19th century 3 legged elm stool.

The attractive stool consists of a beautifully made round pitch pine seat with a central handle on three tapered turned pitch pine legs supported by an unusual and attractive triangular framework of steel stretchers. This frame of stretchers is attached to each leg via steel hand made square-headed nails. The stool probably dates to somewhere around 1870.

This rather decorative sturdy stool is 16 inches (40.5cm) high and the seat is 11.75 inches (2p.8cm) in diameter. The stool is in a very good antique condition although there is a chip to the foot of one leg.
