Rockingham Brameld Blue & White Dinner Plate c1806

Description

We have for sale a very hard to find Blue and white Pearlware dinner plate by the Yorkshire pottery maker Brameld.

The plate is of a lobed form and is decorated with a blue and white transfer pattern depicting a chinoiserie scene containing birds, a lake, a boat, temples and a fence. The plate caries to the reverse the Brameld stamp introduced in about 1806.

the plate is 10 inches (25cm) in diameter and is in a a very good antique condition with no chips cracks or repairs. However the plate does have a firing fault at about the 11 o'clock position in photograph 1 and a little bit of surface scratching commensurate with its age.
