Crisford & Norris Large Silver Thistle Bookmark

We have for sale an unusually large Edwardian silver and amethyst bookmark.The book mark is of the silver thistle form terminating in an amethyst, but what makes this bookmark rather unusual is its size. The bookmark is 10cm (approximately 4 inches) long and the glass amethyst crystal alone is is a huge 1.9cm long and 1.3cm wide - really quite stunning. The bookmark carries crisp hallmarks for Birmingham 1909 along with crisp makers marks for the well known silversmiths Crisford and Norris.
This lovely bookmark is in a very good antique condition other than a curvature to the blade associated with over 100 hundred years of very careful use.
