We have for sale a nice example of a Crown Devon musical John peel mug.

The mug is decorated with a John Peel bust, the words to the John Peel song along with a riding crop and fox all on a cream ground. The mug is completed with a typical angular handle. The base caries the Fieldings stamp Made in England and the RdNo 753789. The mug has the original movement which means that on buying the mug one can sing along. The movement winds perfectly and plays merrily, although it does falter at one note in the tune during each cycle.

The mug is 4 & 1/2 inches (11.4cm) high and is in an excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and only the light crazing one always finds in Crown Devon pottery.
