Rockingham Teacup & Saucer circa 1831-1842

Description
For sale we have a lovely cup and saucer by the fine Georgian Yorkshire porcelain maker Rockingham.This typically ornate Rockingham cup and saucer is richly decorated with a cobalt blue and gilt rococo foliate design. the base of the cup and the saucer both carry the pattern number 1318 and the saucer base carries the Rockingham puce mark dating the piece to the post 1831 Rockingham period.
The saucer is 5 & 3/4 inches (14.6cm) in diameter and the cup and saucer are both in an excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and only a little bit of wear to the gilt.
