A stunning pair of English 19th century high Gothic Floor Candlestands. Original patinated brass with 3 Armorial shields to each lamp. Each lamp with the phrase Let there be Light And there was Light. From Genesis 1:3 (King James Version) marking the first act of divine creation, where God commands light to exist to dispel darkness and chaos. In superb original condition. 69" tall 15" diameter at the top and 17" diameter at the base. Very Heavy. Can be used as they are with candles or can be wired and or polished to use as standard lamps.
