A very smart and best quality English Country House Victorian brass doorstop. This is as good as doorstops get. Depicting a kneeling half draped man. Still retaining the heavy turned lead weight in the bottom. Very unusual and rare. Never been polished and has acquired a most wonderful colour. Circa 1860. In very good condition and ready to use. Could even be used as a paperweight on your desk. 15 1/4" tall on 4 3/4" diameter base. Weight 3 1/4" kilos.
