Description

An original canalware/bargeware Buckby water can. These were used by boatmen to carry fresh water and get their name from Long Buckby where they were originally made. This beautiful, rare item has been hand painted by the artist, John M Hill Fishley (original label is on the base).

In good condition, this vintage water can has no defects but shows traces of wear consistent with age and use. It's a charming piece of canalware history, a great collectors item.
