Description

Pair of 19th century children’s Lancashire clogs, handmade in leather cowhide over wooden soles, shod with iron and fastened with brass buckle clasps. Given their size, it's likely they would have been worn by a very young child working in the cotton mills of Lancashire during the mid 1800's at the height of the industrial revolution.

These little clogs are thoroughly charming and would make a great prop for a shop, museum or window display. Wear is consistent with age and use.
