Description

Parisian writing desk from the late 19th century. Furniture produced by Forest Paris (see photo) of great quality, finely inlaid in mahogany, maple, ebonized wood and fruitwood. Maison Forest was founded in Paris (14 Rue Pierre-Picard and 31 Rue Cambaceres) in 1883 and stands out in the production of high-end cabinet-making furniture. Neoclassical style writing desk, finished from the center, elegantly adorned with gilded and chiseled bronze. Furniture supported by four solid truncated cone legs with bronze feet (see photo). Desk of excellent proportions with top covered in leather with golden finishes, good service, also ideal for professional use. Living room or study furniture, for antique dealers and interior designers, difficult to find. It has some small veneer flaws on the front (see photo).
