Description

Bureau plat inlaid oak frame, veneers of violets and amaranth, Regency style. Belt with a row of three drawers. Important ornamentation of gilded bronzes such as masks, handles with vegetal decoration, frames. Top trimmed with tan leather surrounded by a so-called chevron marquetry and a mold with four spandrels (shell). The set supported by four curved legs, with a beautiful bronze fall (volutes, hooves, acanthus). Double-sided desk, visitor side decorated with bronze (mascaron and acanthus). Period 19th century. Height passage of legs 56cm. In the style of Charles CRESSENT. Note a beautiful original gilding with some wear.
