Description

An attractive leather armchair suitable for a desk, this is in an olive green colour and has a mahogany frame with cabriole legs. The seat is sprung and there is some lovely leather piping around the fronts of the arms and the seat, with upholstery studding elsewhere. The makers’ mark for Trollope & Sons is stamped inside one back leg, with the other showing the number ‘2051’. Founded in 1778, they were one of the largest prestige furniture makers of the 19th century, participating at the Great Exhibitions in London & Paris. This is a great chair to match with a quality 19th century desk.

Dating to circa 1900, this is made of mahogany and leather, and originates from England.

In good age related condition, this has the wear expected from long use. Whilst the leather has some characterful cracking, there are no tears.
