An attractive 19th century painting of a black and white greyhound standing in a green landscape with a pleasant blue sky. It is glazed and framed in a period bird’s eye maple surround and will make a lovely piece for a Victorian interior in a country home.

Dating to circa 1860, this is an oil on canvas in a maple frame, originating from England.

In good age related condition, there is some light damage to the surface of the wood of the frame in the bottom right corner, which is in keeping with its age and character.
