Description

A rare Norweigan sterling silver gilt brooch with enamel by David Andersen C1930.

The brooch is quite an unusual shape and features a vitreous enamel abstract design set into the silver framework with fabulous shades of green, blue and burnt orange. There is a stylised guilloche pattern set into the enamel with waves and centre circle which adds to the quality of the piece. The silver has a nice got gilt finish which compliments the colours very well.
The pin slots neatly into a C type clasp and is firm.

The peice is stamped for 925 quality sterling silver and has the DAVID ANDERSEN marks which were used between 1924-39.
