Description

A rare silver stick pin with swallow in flight by Scottish jewellery designer Ola Gorie.

The bird is nicely crafted and shows the bird with wings inflight with detail engaged styling.
The silver is stamped on the reverse with makers stamp OMG along with ST SL (sterling silver.) The pin has a safety stopper clutch also marked silver on the side.

Overall a super item which is offered in excellent condition.

OLA GORIE is based in Kikwall on the Orkney Island Scotland and is one of Britain's most important jewellery designers of recent times. A pioneer in the 1960s, she explored her Celtic and Norse heritage to find inspiration for stylish, wearable, modern jewellery. Her jewellery is collected around the world. She was awarded an MBE in 1999 in recognition of her work both as a designer and as a founder of the modern jewellery industry.
