A superb antique garnet set snake ring crafted in 9 carat yellow gold
The main oval stone sits in the head of the snake with further smaller stones on the shoulders
All the stones are in original condition and have a rich translucent crimson red colour
The stylised coiled snake ring is fully hallmarked inside the substantial solid band
The ring is offered in excellent condition and has come up very well after a light polish
I estimate the ring to date around the Edwardian era
