Description

This is a very pretty Mid 17th Century Oak coffer with great inlay to the panels. It is heavily carved to the front with floral inlay to the four inset panels. A great and very rare example from this period.

When this piece was made the South Sea Bubble had not yet collapsed, Bonnie Prince Charlie had not landed in Scotland, Slavery was legal and we had not lost the American Colonies.
