Description

An absolutely stunning antique French carved gilt wood stool of the highest order. This was made in France, it dates from around the 1890-1910 period.

It is of amazing quality, with beautiful and intricate carving throughout. It is a lovely size, petite and elegant, yet sturdy and comfortable for two. This has a gorgeous shape sitting on beautifully carved legs, the sides are raised with beaded edges, and have double caning on each panel.

We have had the frame gently revived and restored by our gilding specialist, the seat base has also been re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent for its age, with just the right amount of patina and surface wear.
