Description

A fantastic antique mahogany leather top military campaign chest of drawers. This was made in England, we would date it to around the 1860-1880 period.

It is of superb quality and has a beautiful design, with a useful and practical shape. It is fairly low and wide, and also not too deep from front to back. There is lots of storage space in the drawers which have beautifully crafted handles. This stands on bracket feet, there are brass fixtures on the corners, brass carry handles and also a brass rim around the top edge. The top is tooled brown leather which has an absolutely gorgeous patina and colour tone, with just the right amount of wear and charm.

We have had this re-polished, it is in very good overall condition. There is plenty of patina and various small marks here and there remaining beneath the polish, commensurate for age.
