19th Century black forest walnut casket

Description
A good quality 19th Century black forest walnut casket, having wonderful crisp carving throughout, the hinged top lifting up to reveal a velvet lined interior, the top having a finely carved scene with various birds amongst foliage, the whole box beautifully carved with various foliage, supported on carved and shaped branches as feet. Circa 1880. Please note there is minor damage on one of the small birds.7" x 5" x 6" high
