19th Century freestanding Japanese black lacquered and painted table top cabinet from the Meiji period (1868-1912) The cabinet throughout depicting Japanese countryside scenes, various foliage and birds, the top structure having a decorative shaped back and shelf with the main section comprising of two doors at the centre opening to reveal six interior drawers with the drawer fronts painted in the same style as the rest of the cabinet, with a single drawer above and below the doors, all original brassware. A truly decorative item and in great condition. Circa 1880.14” x 7 1/2” x 23 3/4” high
