Superbly proportioned Antique Giltwood Overmantle Mirror dating from 1870.In wonderful, original condition, retaining it's original water/oil gilding (Gold Leaf).
All decoration is wonderfully crisp and detailed.
Original mercury mirror plate in near perfect condition, with a pleasant grey tone to the silvering.
Original backing board, ebonised plinth rail and hanging plates.
Sizes 146cm tall. max width at base 145 cm. Main frame width 122cm.
