Description

A good clean pair of silver salts in a Rococo style with a Birminghma assay mark from 1893. At the end of the Victorian reign there was a revival of the Rococo design which had been fashionable in the mid 1700s. Popular with some but not by others who had a very solemn view of the world at the time, considering the style to be frivolous and having a lack of seriousness. Life must have very boring for some at the time. These salts would make a lovely addition to a silver collection but can of course be used for their original purpose on the table. Detail is good and assay marks clear.
We have been in business for 40 years and are now coming up to retirement. We are in consequence looking to reduce our stock, Delivery can be arranged with a specialist carrier for around £70 to most areas.
