The chest offers five drawers, including a concealed secretaire drawer with a fall-front opening to a fitted interior of five small drawers and three pigeonholes, finished with delicate brass knobs and a scalloped arch detail.

Recessed brass handles, reinforced corner brackets, and side straps reflect its military origins while adding to its durability and character.
