Description

An exceptional and rare William IV library table, circa 1835, crafted in striking Gonçalo Alves with its distinctive rich figuring and warm tonal variation.

The rectangular top sits above two generously sized front drawers, each constructed in solid oak with traditional hand-cut dovetail joints and finished with elegant cockbeaded fronts.

Designed to stand freely within a room, the table is beautifully finished on all sides. It is raised on a turned central column, flowing into a shaped platform base terminating in finely carved scroll feet, complete with casters for ease of movement.

Presented in good condition, clean and ready for the home.
