Description

An outstanding early 18th century kingwood oyster veneered chest of drawers, attributed to Thomas Pistor, circa 1700.

The chest comprises two short over two long drawers, finely veneered with matched kingwood oyster panels and framed with rosewood crossbanding.

Constructed in solid oak with dovetailed joints, the drawers retain their original brass handles and locks.

The chest stands on shaped bracket feet and exhibits a superb warm colour and patina.

Offered in showroom condition, this chest is a fine example and a piece of true collector’s quality.
