A very good quality antique walnut dining table and set of eight leather upholstered dining chairs. This quality antique Queen Anne style dining table set dating to the 1920's consists of a large one leaf burr walnut cabriole legged dining table with eight matching burr walnut cabriole legged dining chairs with leather squabs. The chairs and the dining table are an original suite, having been made together and not been matched at a later date The burr walnut quarter bookmatch veneered dining table top having a crossbanded edge and carved foliate mould pulls apart to accept one further leaf turning this table into a 8 seater as can be seen in the images. Having a walnut frieze and raised on cabriole legs with carved acanthus leaf decoration to the knee this dining table is in excellent condition having been fully restored using traditional methods. The fine set of 8 (6 +2) antique burr walnut Queen Anne style dining chairs with leather seats circa 1920. This quality set of dining chairs comprises of six single chairs and two carver chairs. All having a fine quality burr walnut shaped back splat with original brown leather drop in squabs. The two carvers having shepherds crook shaped arms with all chairs standing on front cabriole legs with fine quality hand carved acanthus leaves to the knee terminating on pad feet with the rear legs being splayed. Each chair having a lovely quality leather hide seat in excellent condition which have been fully nourished and wax polished. This set of eight chairs are in excellent condition with a wonderful warm honey walnut colour having been fully restored using traditional polishing methods having no old breaks and all structurally solid with no loose joints. A fine long set of Queen Anne style dining chairs which are becoming increasingly hard to find. We have a reputation for being long established antique dealers in London having had showrooms concurrently running in Islington, Chelsea and Ascot. We have relocated our new showroom, due to London overheads, easily reached between A1 or A10 to just outside of Hertford, Hertfordshire.
