This is an antique fitted silver chest. An English, oak and bound iron shipping trunk, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880.

Fascinating bound example, with superb Victorian storage appeal
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout

Profusely bound with cast iron braces to each corner

Shallow lid hosts remnants of mid 20th century travel labels
