This is a vintage 4-fold privacy screen. A Japanese, silk cotton embroidered room divider, dating to the Art Deco period, circa 1940.

Delightful Oriental taste to this generously sized screen
Displays a desirable aged patina, some light wear to fabric from gentle use
Set within an ebonised frame, the top rails carved with foliate detail
Appealing light amber hues to the silk cotton upholstery
Accentuated with embroidered birds and a distant Mount Fuji
Reverse finished with a patterned fabric covering
Can be used free standing or near-flat supported against a wall
