Description
A refined set of eight antique mahogany dining chairs each with elegant balloon backs and finely carved central splats, displaying pleasing symmetry and confident mid-19th-century proportions. The frames are well-figured quality mahogany, with turned and tapering legs united by robust stretchers, giving both visual balance and practical strength. Recently upholstered in a tasteful grey herringbone fabric, the seats provide a subtle, contemporary contrast while remaining entirely in keeping with the period character. The warm colour of the mahogany is enhanced by a well-preserved patina, highlighting the quality of the timber and craftsmanship throughout. A versatile and decorative set, equally suited to a formal dining room or a more relaxed interior.Condition
In very good antique condition. The frames are solid and stable, with no structural issues. The upholstery is recent and clean, with no signs of wear. Minor marks and surface wear consistent with age remain, adding to the authenticity and charm.
